BC Media was approached by Splend, a company providing electric vehicles (EVs) to ride share drivers, to produce a video advertisement for their latest campaign in partnership with Uber. The main objective of the project was to create compelling content that would support Splend's campaign, centered around doubling the money saved by drivers and applying it as a discount towards a new EV. The aim was to make the campaign easy-to-understand and engaging for the audience.

Splend is a prominent provider of electric vehicles for ride share drivers, offering an eco-friendly and cost-effective solution. They are committed to sustainability and reducing carbon emissions, empowering drivers with affordable access to high-quality EVs. Collaborating with Uber, Splend seeks to encourage the adoption of electric vehicles among their driver community.

To effectively communicate Splend's latest campaign to Uber drivers, BC Media's main goal was to produce a captivating video advertisement. The campaign's core message highlighted that Splend would double the money saved by drivers and use it as a discount towards purchasing a new electric vehicle. BC Media aimed to present this fantastic offer in a concise and engaging way, emphasizing the advantages of choosing an electric vehicle from Splend.

To captivate the target audience, BC Media enlisted the help of presenter Karim. Chosen for his natural charisma, automotive industry expertise, and ability to connect with viewers, Karim played a crucial role in the project. BC Media's creative team collaborated closely with Karim to develop a script that effectively conveyed the key points of Splend's campaign while maintaining a conversational and engaging tone.


During the pre-production phase, BC Media extensively researched Splend, Uber, and the advantages of electric vehicles for ride share drivers. This research was instrumental in understanding the target audience and crafting a compelling message. Additionally, they meticulously developed a storyboard to outline the visual and narrative components of the video. Collaborating closely with Splend's marketing team, BC Media ensured the video aligned perfectly with the campaign's objectives and brand guidelines.

For the production phase, BC Media's team worked closely with Karim to film the video content. They carefully selected appropriate filming locations and captured footage of Karim driving various electric vehicle models provided by Splend, showcasing their features and benefits. Moreover, they took viewers inside the Splend HQ to provide a more detailed and authentic insight into what the vehicles had to offer, thereby adding credibility and relatability to the Splend brand.

In the post-production phase, BC Media skillfully edited the footage using Final Cut Pro to create a visually captivating and informative video. They seamlessly combined shots of Karim delivering key campaign messages with captivating visuals highlighting the electric vehicles' advantages. To make the information easily digestible for viewers, the editing team employed graphics, animations, and text overlays to emphasize essential details. Additionally, background music was added to enhance the overall viewing experience.

BC Media successfully delivered the final video to Splend's marketing team. The team strategically distributed the video across various online platforms, such as social media, YouTube, and the Splend website. As a result, the video garnered substantial attention and engagement from Uber drivers and the broader ride share community. The campaign's generous offer enticed many drivers, prompting them to consider making the switch to an electric vehicle through Splend.

The impact of the video campaign was evident as Splend reported a significant increase in inquiries and sign-ups. This success demonstrated the campaign's effectiveness in raising awareness and generating customer interest.

Given the positive outcome, Splend continues to collaborate with BC Media, acknowledging their track record of delivering impressive results and maintaining high-quality standards.
